I painted a frog head.
It’s interesting that even with my awful camera and living room lighting I can get a sense of how hard it is to photograph paintings, what with the appearance of the painting depending so much on the angle and nature of the light as it reflects off of all the brushstrokes. Art historians have it tough! Apparently the pope painting that Francis Bacon obsessed over and created many incredibly disturbed studies of was dramatically different in person than in photographs, and he never actually saw the original.
